Families invited to explore classrooms, meet staff, and discover the excitement of kindergarten

This special event gives future kindergarteners and their families an opportunity to explore their neighborhood school, meet staff, and experience some of the exciting learning opportunities awaiting them at Bettendorf Schools.

What: Bett Kindergarten Sneak Peek
When: Wednesday, November 4, 2026
Time: 5:30–6:30 pm
Where: All five BCSD elementary schools

Families can enjoy a variety of interactive activities designed to introduce children to the kindergarten experience, including:

• Explore a Kindergarten Classroom: Discover where students learn, play, and grow through a fun classroom scavenger hunt.

• Visit the Library: Explore books and participate in a library scavenger hunt.

• Discover Art and Music: Get creative in the art room and explore musical instruments.

• Get Moving in the Gym: Experience fun physical activities.

• Practice the Lunchline: Learn how school lunch works, from picking up a tray to finding a seat.

• Strike a Pose: Capture a special memory at the Class of 2040 photo station.

The event is designed to help children become familiar with their future school environment while giving families a welcoming introduction to the Bettendorf school community.

Bett Kindergarten Sneak Peek will take place at all five elementary schools:

• Grant Wood Elementary – 1423 Hillside Dr.

• Herbert Hoover Elementary – 3223 S. Hampton Dr.

• Mark Twain Elementary – 1620 Lincoln Rd.

• Neil Armstrong Elementary – 3311 Central Ave.

• Paul Norton Elementary – 4485 Greenbrier Dr.

Families are encouraged to attend the event at their child's future elementary school. All area 2027-28 kindergarteners and their parents are invited to attend.
